Times are based on a recommended ratio of 6 students to 1 Instructor to 1 manikin. Heartsaver CPR AED Course 1-2 hours without breaks Successful completion is based on achievement of the core learning objectives rather than a prescribed instruction time.
Heartsaver CPR AED Card
Heartsaver CPR AED is a credentialed course. Providers who successfully complete the Heartsaver CPR AED course receive a course completion card valid for two years.

American Heart Association Certification – Skills-Only Format
Already completed the AHA Heartsaver® CPR AED online course? Finish your certification with Safeguard CPR’s hands-on skills session led by an AHA-certified instructor.
This course is the required second part of the blended learning option. It provides hands-on practice and evaluation of adult, child, and infant CPR, use of an AED, and relief of choking.
Course Includes:

In-person practice of all CPR AED skills

One-on-one skills check with a certified instructor

Same-day AHA eCard (valid for 2 years upon successful completion)

Fast and efficient format — typically under 1 hour

Wear comfortable clothing for CPR practice on the floor

Age Requirement

Participants must be at least 12 years old (younger students may be accepted with guardian approval).

Full payment must be made prior to class to confirm your spot.

Bring a valid photo ID (for issuing your AHA certification card).

Clothing & Participation

Wear comfortable clothing suitable for floor-based CPR practice.

You must be able to kneel, bend, and perform chest compressions on a manikin.

You must attend the full session and actively participate in all skills practice.

Successfully complete the skills assessment with an instructor.
